Eligibility criteria

WIC Capital target:

  • companies in a growth phase (operating for more than a year)
  • that meet the WIC gender criteria
  • whose expansion is limited by a need for funding and/or technical assistance.

A company is considered eligible when it meets at least one of the following criteria:

Foundation

The company was founded by a woman.

Governance

At least 50% of the shares are held by women.

Leadership

The management team is composed mostly of women.

The objective is clear: to support companies where women play a real role in governance, strategy and decision-making.

Investment criteria

WIC Capital invests in companies with strong economic and social potential that meet several of these criteria:

The company has the capacity to transform its sector, strengthen its value chain and contribute positively to the national economy.
Technological innovation
The company integrates innovative technological solutions to improve its efficiency, solve industry problems or create new markets.
Promotion of local products
The company promotes local raw materials or encourages the consumption of local products through its activities.
Profitability
The company demonstrates good financial performance or a clear potential to achieve sustainable profitability.
Job creation
The company can create quality jobs or improve existing conditions by adopting an inclusive policy that promotes the employment of women.
Capacity building
The company implements practices and procedures that promote the development of its teams' skills.

Its products have immediate or short-term export potential.

Selection process

WIC Capital's selection process is structured, rigorous and progressive in order to identify and support companies with high potential.

1. Origination

- Sourcing opportunities: research and identification of target companies) and selection of projects.
- Preliminary analysis, Project study, Signing of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), Issuance of a letter of intent (LOI)

2. In-depth study

Conducting due diligence, valuing the company and preparing the investment memorandum.

3. Investment Committee

Presentation and validation of the project by the investment committee

4. Closing & Disbursement

Finalization of legal documentation, signing of agreements and disbursement of funds.
