Diaka Sall
Diaka is a professional with sixteen years of experience in guarantee funds, insurance companies and investment banks. She holds a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from North Carolina A&T State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Since 2019, she has served on the investment committees of the Fairtrade Access Fund and WIC-Capital, evaluating investment proposals to support agricultural exporters and women-led businesses in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.
From 2019 to 2021, she was Acting National Director and Head of Agricultural Programs in Senegal, managing initiatives to create dignified work opportunities for young people.
Between 2011 and 2016, she held various positions at Root Capital, including Regional Lending Director for West Africa, managing lending and impact evaluation activities in the region.
Diaka has provided financial consulting services for Aventura Investment Partners, the African Development Bank and the World Bank. She was also a financial analyst and relationship manager at Citibank Dakar.
She has completed training in risk analysis and credit approval, and has been honored for her academic achievements. An active member of several committees, she is fluent in English, French and Wolof, and proficient in various financial software.
Diaka continues to promote sustainable economic development in Africa, supporting businesses and initiatives with high social impact.
