We position women as economic actors rather than spectators

Eligibility criteria

WIC CAPITAL targets growth-stage companies (operating for more than one year) that meet WIC’s gender criteria and whose growth is hampered by their need for financing and/or technical assistance. The gender criterion is met when a company meets one or more of the following criteria:

 

The company was founded by a woman

At least 50% of the company's capital is held by women

The company has a management team with a majority of women

Investment criteria

Impact
The company has the potential to have a significant impact on its sector and target market, as well as on the national economy.
Technology
The company uses innovative technology in its operations to address the problems it aims to solve.
Promotion of local products
Most of the products used and marketed by the company are local products, or the company promotes, through its activities, the consumption of local products.
Profitability
The company has good financial performance and is potentially very profitable.
Job creation
The company has the capacity to create a significant number of new jobs or improve the overall quality of jobs in the country. The company must also adopt an inclusive recruitment policy that promotes the employment of women.
Capacity building
The company promotes policies and procedures that develop the capabilities of its staff over time.
Export
Products can be exported immediately or after a few years of operations.
