Storytelling
Wood Packaging Industry is an Ivorian industrial joinery company specializing in pallets, frames and bench tables.
Ablawa Femi Amoussou is a logistics professional with a passion for supply chains and operational optimization. After several years of experience, she and three partners from the same professional background identified a strategic opportunity: Almost all the pallets used by exporting companies in Ivory Coast are imported., even though the country has abundant local resources and mobilizable know-how.
From this observation arises Wood Packaging Industries (WPI) in 2017: a company specializing in industrial joinery, offering wooden packaging solutions adapted to international standards.
- The project is based on a strong vision:
– replace imports with quality local production,
– to promote Ivorian wood species,
– to create industrial expertise in a largely untapped sector,
– to gradually build an integrated value chain, from forestry operations to the finished product.
Driven by its expertise in logistics and its ability to structure industrial operations, Ablawa transforms an idea born from the field into a strategic company for the Ivorian transport, handling and export ecosystem.
Impact
Since its collaboration with WIC Capital in 2024, Wood Packaging Industries has experienced rapid, measurable growth and is confirming its impact:
– Industrial strengthening and import reduction
– Capitalizing on local expertise
– A clear strategy towards an integrated value chain
– Economic growth and job creation
– Diversification in perspective
